Delete your WetinDey account

In the app

Open WetinDey and go to Me > Settings > Delete account.
We show any points you still have. If your available points are above the ₦2,000 minimum you can withdraw them first.
Confirm. You are signed out and the data stored on your phone is removed.

If you can no longer open the app

Email [email protected] from the number you signed up with, or tell us that number, and write "Delete my account". We will confirm it is you before we delete anything.

What is deleted and what is kept

Deleted: your phone number, name, saved places, device identifiers, notification settings and your consent record details that identify you.
Your posts and reports: removed or made anonymous.
Kept, anonymised: a record of points and payments (the ledger) with no link to you, because the law and our accounts require it. [LEGAL: confirm retention period.]
Points that were not withdrawn are lost when the account is deleted.
